Snipshot – Edit pictures online

Cool web app allowing you some simple edit capabilities for your photos. http://snipshot.com/ And what would a web2.0 app be without an api, integration with flickr and a firefox extension. Not sure I will use it, but still pretty cool. UPDATE: Mashable has posted an index of 90+ Online Photography Tools and Resources. Wow, there [...]

Opera… the ‘next’ big thing
Sunday, March 11th, 2007
Well, not really the next big thing. Given Opera (as a company) has been around for … (checking the opera site)… an impressive 12 years now I can hardly call Opera the next big thing. Some history I started using Opera a few years ago when FireFox – previously known as Phoenix, then Firebird – [...]

Thickbox

ThickBox is a webpage UI dialog widget written in JavaScript on top of the jQuery library. Its function is to show a single image, multiple images, inline content, iframed content, or content served through AJAX in a hybrid modal. http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/ Look at the demos, that’s pretty slick.

Free YUI Hosting
Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

Ultimately, I’m happy to see them doing this, as it makes a lot of sense in terms of caching and keeping your application [...]

Inconsistent Interpretation with Web Development Best Practices
Wednesday, February 14th, 2007
Over the years, I’ve come across many web developers that have inconsistent interpretation of what best practices are. In most cases it’s a lack of knowledge at no fault on the individual. I don’t want to risk sounding elitist, but I’m generally current on new methods, formats, tools, and “standards“. I’m one of those guys [...]

Yahoo Pipes
Thursday, February 8th, 2007
Cool http://pipes.yahoo.com/ Whoops, it’s down right now and they have called the plumbers. Our Pipes are Clogged! I’ll leave you to explore, but this looks very very cool. I have a feeling some people I know won’t be so happy about this though.
