Google Chome Extensions… coming soon
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008
It ought not be of suprise to any of you, but it’s now as good as official, Google Chrome will allow Extensions. This is good news for those looking to switch from Firefox to Chrome full-time. I know I have already switched. Looking forward to the day I get my Delicious integrated into my browser [...]

Can Delicious please implement OpenID
Saturday, November 22nd, 2008
Time and time again (about every 2 weeks for the 3 workstations I use regularily), I get a prompt to login to delicious. It seems each time I manage to enter in the wrong password. As with many of you, I’ve got quite the collection of accounts floating around the web, and this amounts to [...]

Change your Google Search results
Saturday, November 22nd, 2008
Google has gone and added ‘promote’ and ‘remove’ buttons from your standard search results. At this moment, it’s only affecting results as they appear to you, and it goes and records your actions in the SearchWiki. This is big. Talk about crowdsourcing!

Facebook, the web, archives and privacy
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007
Five or so years ago (heck, probably longer… showing my ‘internet age’ here) those who contributed content to the web most likely knew the realities (and consequences) of putting content in the public domain, and of course on the web. Putting it simply, whatever goes out there, stays out there. It’s been archived, indexed, made [...]

Is Facebook for real?
Saturday, June 9th, 2007
I’m not really sure what I mean by my title for this post: “Is Facebook for real?”. But I’m going just go out and say it. Facebook is for real, and it is running with incredible momentum. I’m baffled. Not so much by the technology, but the stickiness and remarkable momentum. No question, they must [...]

Web and Desktop Widgets: Yahoo! Widgets 4, Yourminis.com, Google Gadgets, OS X Dashboard
Friday, March 23rd, 2007
Yahoo Widgets 4 was just released. And not long ago yourminis.com announced desktop widgets. Google Gadgets and the OS X Dashboard are not new, but I’d have to say Google Gadgets appears to be falling behind here in terms of user experience and polished design. I have played with each product so far, and I [...]

corkd.com – down again, what’s wrong?
Tuesday, March 20th, 2007
I’m noticing that corkd.com is a cool little service that I like to use. The problem is it seems to be down half of the time I try to access it. Last few times, the request would time out. This time it gets bounced to: http://segpub.com.au/ Which appears to be the host they use at [...]
