Is it just me or is Gmail unusually slow this past week or so?

Nope, it’s not just you Chad,
I’ve noticed infrequent slow-downs with Gmail, mostly just causing trouble connecting via POP.

I don’t know what’s up with it, but sending mail from my account as been taking progressively more time over the past couple months. It now take on the order of 45sec to 1min and this is consistent no matter what computer/connection I login from. What’s especially weird is I’ve seen other people use gmail on these same machines/connections and sending is as quick as ever. So it seems like something specific to my account… but I don’t know.

Hmm…. sounds to me like google has flagged us as terrorists and is intercepting our email and running it by the FBI first.
Uhhh… or not….

Gmail is slow now to the point where I can’t send anything with an attachment or it won’t even send. Sending a regular email is also incredibly slow.

I am having the same problem! I am thinking about switching mail accounts.

I couldn’t send a 180K attachment no matter how many times I tried. I turned around and sent it out of my regular account in a second…
The last few weeks Gmail, and sending/receiving has been terribly slow (no big changes to my machines).

I’ve found that gmail is like lightning on my 75 pound dinosaur of a laptop from 2005 using wireless here at my house, but it’s super slow on my brand new desktop. Any thoughts?
