Yahoo Widgets 4 was just released. And not long ago yourminis.com announced desktop widgets. Google Gadgets and the OS X Dashboard are not new, but I’d have to say Google Gadgets appears to be falling behind here in terms of user experience and polished design.
I have played with each product so far, and I have to say I favour Yahoo! Widgets for they do seem more polished and better positioned to see the greatest number of users.
Go ahead, give Yahoo! Widgets a try. Out of the box it’s quite impressive and the standard widgets are rather powerful and integrated with either your desktop or web services.
My money is on Yahoo!
