How do you know you have the ‘knack’? How can you measure it? How can you prove it?
While at Web Directions North I was fortunate enough to take in a presentation by Jared Spool from User Interface Engineering. When he said something to the effect:
successful experience design is invisible
Which coincided with:
successful experience design is learned yet not open to introspection
In a nutshell; a fantastic talk executed to perfection by a great speaker.
But it leaves me with: how does one say they have expertise in “user experience design” and then successfully prove it?
