Well, here I am again waiting on the phone with Royal Bank. This time I noticed a slight difference in their messaging that indicated the approximate wait time – 1 minute. Wow! Here I might actually make it in and out in the same time that it took me to deal with AMEX last night.

7 minutes later (after being told the approximate wait time was just one sole minute) I’m still in the queue. Unfortunately I am not surprised given my experiences last night. However, given I’m calling during regular business hours this is not what I consider par for the course.

11 minutes later, it’s done. Address changed, account closed… good riddance Royal Bank.
