A few weeks ago I was browsing the Apple.ca online store while looking further into an iMac for the home. After adding some extra RAM, an Air Port with Air Tunes and of course the all new mighty mouse I decided to save the shopping cart for later – not really sure if or when later would be.
The other day as I was waiting for the keys to arrive at the new place and to my surprise I was given a phone call from an Apple Sales Rep. This guy wanted to talk to me about the saved shopping cart with the iMac in it and if he could answer any questions I had. When all was said and done the sales rep mentioned he would send me a promo code that I could redeem to receive a discount on my shopping cart. Upon hanging up, I must say I was impressed with the personal follow-up. Later I received the email from Jon at Apple only to notice that I didn’t receive such promotion I had been informed of over the phone but rather was encouraged to contact him via phone number if I had any further questions. Hmmm…. all this trouble and no follow-through.
I have a feeling I will be waiting out a few more weeks to see if they bite. I’m not holding my breath.
